Warren H. HusbandLegislative & Governmental Affairs | Administrative Law Civil & Appellate Litigation Warren is a shareholder and member of the administrative law, legislative & governmental affairs, and civil litigation sections of the firm. He regularly represents clients before a broad spectrum of state agencies, and has extensive trial experience before the Division of Administrative Hearings. Warren provides legal expertise in a wide variety of regulatory areas, including state contracting and procurement, affordable housing development, election law and ethics matters, insurance regulation, pari-mutuel gaming, and alcoholic beverage regulation. Warren presently serves as the general counsel to the Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association. Reported appellate cases in which Warren was a principal attorney include: Advisory Opinion to the Attorney General Re: Tax Limitation , 644 So. 2d 486 (Fla. 1994)(challenge to several state constitutional amendment initiative petitions); State ex rel. Bruce v. Kiesling , 632 So. 2d 601 (Fla. 1994); Gulfstream Park Racing Ass'n. Inc. v. Dep't of Business & Professional Regulation , 661 So.2d 955 (Fla. 4th DCA 1995); Denmark v. State , 646 So.2d 754 (Fla. 2d DCA 1994); and Goldfarb v. Insurance Co. of North America , 642 So.2d 586 (Fla. 3d DCA 1994). Warren received his Bachelor's degree, cum laude , in Psychology from the University of South Florida in 1986. After serving four years as an officer in the United States Air Force, he entered law school and received his Juris Doctor with highest honors from Florida State University in 1994, graduating second in his class. Warren is a member of the Order of the Coif. While in law school, he served both as Notes and Comments Editor and as Piece Selection Committee Chairman for the Florida State University Law Review Warren has published law review articles on topics ranging from environmental law to intellectual property law.
